Honoring our loved ones with color, creativity, and joy

🎨 Cultural Experience & Exhibits (12–4 pm, Sacred Heart Hall)

Explore hands-on exhibits that bring this beautiful tradition to life:

  • 🌼 Marigolds: learn their meaning & create your own paper marigolds

  • ✂️ Papel picado (colorful cut-paper banners): learn the art & make one to take home

  • 💀 Skulls: try temporary tattoos or have your face painted in traditional skull makeup (small fee)

  • 🖼️ Remembrance Station: print a photo of your loved one for the altar

  • 🕯️ Altar / Ofrenda: discover what goes on a Día de los Muertos altar & why

  • 📖 What is Día de los Muertos?: learn the history and meaning

  • 🍬 Gift shop & snack bar open throughout

  • 🎬 Screening of Disney–Pixar’s Coco

 

🍴 Food Vendor (12–4 pm, Parking Lot)

Authentic tacos and refreshments available for purchase.

 

🕯️ Community Shrine Memorial (3:00 pm, Upstairs)

Bring a photo of a loved one to place on the shrine. Participants may share a brief memory (1–2 minutes) with the group.


💀 Costume Contest (4:00 pm)

Wear any costume you like — but skull face paint or a mask is required to enter the contest.

 

🎶 Parade & Procession (4:15 pm)

A joyful walk through Holy Name Cemetery and along 133rd Avenue.


✨ Evening Events

  • 3:30 pm: Bilingual confessions

  • 5:00 pm: Mass

  • 6:00 pm: Fiesta & fellowship
