Our Parish Endowment Fund

We have each drawn water from wells that we have not dug; and we have sat under shade trees we did not plant. We have an opportunity to help provide  means for the church to support Catholic Education for generations to come.

What is an Endowment Fund?

An endowment is a fund made up of bequests and gifts that has been created to be a continual source of income for a particular organization—the Holy Name Foundation is being created to assist and support Catholic Education for our youth. All donations are permanently invested  and the earnings are used to grow the fund and provide ongoing financial support.

What types of gifts are accepted by the Foundation?

Gifts may be given in the form of immediate gifts such as cash, stocks and bonds, or real estate. Future gifts are also an option  through a variety of ways including wills and bequests or a designated beneficiary of a life insurance plan, IRA or retirement plan.

Why would our parish want to have an Endowment?

The price of Catholic Education is continually rising, but the income of the church is not endless. In order to provide subsidies for Catholic Education and show our support for Catholic Education at all grade levels , it is fiscally responsible to start this endowment to ensure the future of generations to come. It is also an opportunity for those that are supporters of Catholic Education to leave a  legacy  or memoriam creating opportunity for future generations. A donation to this endowment would only be used toward Catholic Education for as long as our parish has a need. As long as there are children or young adults seeking a Catholic Education from our parish our support will be there for all future generations.

Who will benefit from this endowment?

Currently, any interest earnings would be used to subsidize current members of our church that utilize area Catholic Elementary Schools. Our hope is that this fund will grow to a size one day where we can provide Catholic High School and Catholic  College assistance and Scholarships as well .
